Welcome to the official website of the University of Minnesota Ballroom Dance Club!

If you are new to ballroom dance then we especially want to welcome you! If you're wondering about dancesport, check out our overview of the main dances we do.

Don't forget to like our Facebook page and check out our Youtube channel.

Your first two lessons are always free! The club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginner lessons start at 8pm and there's general dance at 8:45pm. To view the lesson schedule in a calendar format, check out our club calendar.

Anyone, not just students, may join the club. No special clothing, previous experience, or partner is necessary. The club has lessons every week, followed by social dancing. If you would like to know more about the club, go to our club homepage.

The University of Minnesota Ballroom Competition Team was founded in 2010. We are steadily growing and improving, and always looking to have fun while doing so. Auditions are held in the fall and spring of each school year, and are open to collegiate dancers of all backgrounds and skill levels. The team competes annually at the National Collegiate Championships in Columbus, Ohio, and Dance Fest in St. Paul, Minnesota, as well as other events.
